The need to provide as much as possible to the religious institution of tender youth we advised the press of a Catechism, which clearly sets out the rudiments of the holy faith, and divine truth, which must inform the life of "every Christian. Therefore, without examining the many textbooks in use in the dioceses of Italy, we thought it appropriate to adopt the text with minor tweaks a number of years approved by the bishops of Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia and Tuscany. The "use of this text will be compulsory for the" public and private education in the Diocese of Rome and all other of the Roman Province, and we trust that other dioceses will want to adopt it to arrive so that a single text, at least for the " Italy, which is in "universal wish.
